Profile​

You can access your profile page by selecting your name in the top right-hand menu.

Personal information​

The full name is the name displayed to other users.

Phone numbers are not used at this time and are not shared with other users.

Avatar​

You can choose to use an automatic avatar with your initials or use Gravatar for your avatar.

Change your email address​

You can change your email address with this option. In Optera, your address is your username. It will therefore also be modified if you change your email address.

For security reasons, changing your email address requires you to enter a password or an OTP token to launch the modification procedure.

The procedure then asks you to enter the new email address you wish to use. An email is sent to this address with a validation link. Once the link has been opened, the email address is modified.

Change password​

This option lets you change the user's password by entering the old password and then the new password 2 times.

Two-factor authentication​

To enhance security, you can enable authentication with a second factor in addition to the password. Optera uses OTP as the second authentication factor. You can install an OTP application such as FreeOPT or Google Authenticator. Then you need to activate 2-factor authentication by clicking on the “activate” button scan the code in the OTP application, which will add a configuration to the application, and enter the code obtained with the application.

Once activated, you'll be prompted to enter a code from the application to authenticate yourself.

If you lose your cell phone, you can request an OTP code by e-mail.

Communication language​

This option lets you define the language used in emails sent to you by Optera.

Notifications​

Notifications configuration lets you choose the form in which notifications are sent to you. You can activate email, internal or desktop notifications. For the latter, you must also activate desktop notifications on the device(s) concerned.

Deleting your account​

If you no longer use your account, you can delete it using this function.
