Getting started

What is Optera.io?

Optera.io is a product management software inspired by the Scrum framework. It is designed for rapid implementation and easy adoption by Scrum teams. It is delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS).

Create an account

To get started with Optera.io, simply create an account by filling out this form.

Create an organization

Once you've created your account, you'll need to create an organization. The organization is the entity that groups together your products, your users and your customers, and it is this entity that will be billed for the use of Optera.io according to the number of users.

If you are the first user, you will need to create an organization in order to use Optera.io.

Invite members (users)

Once an organization has been created, you can invite members to join your organization. From the organization's side menu, select the Members option, then click on the Invite new member button. Fill in the form and the person will receive an invitation to join your organization.

Create a product

You can now create a new product.

When creating a product, you'll need to define the product's working mode. The "Scrum" mode is the most complete. It enables you to manage the product backlog, sprints, sprint reviews and retrospectives. The "Simple" mode allows you to manage your product without defining sprints.

On your product, you need to define the team members (Parameters > Team) who must be members of the organization.

Product backlog items

Backlog items define the work to be done to complete the product. They are all referenced with a self-managed number and project prefix, and include at least one title. Backlog elements can be broken down into sub-elements.

Product backlog

The product backlog comprises all the elements yet to be produced. It enables them to be ordered and edited.

Sprint

Sprint management enables you to create a sprint and define which backlog elements will be processed in this sprint by simple drag & drop.

Kanban

The kanban is the main working tool during a sprint. Once the sprint has started, all the selected backlog elements are stored in it. The kanban refreshes automatically if other users make modifications.
