๐๏ธ Product
Optera uses the term product and not project on purpose. Scrum recommends having a product vision instead of a project vision. This is because the end goal is the realization of a product (with desired characteristics), not the realization of a project. A product is the development object that represents the desired solution or expected end result. It can be software, an application, a system, a service or even a physical product.
๐๏ธ Product backlog
The product backlog is an ordered list of all the features, requirements, enhancements and fixes needed to develop the product. It represents the product vision and is maintained by the product owner. The product backlog evolves throughout the project as new requirements are identified, priorities change and new information is discovered.
๐๏ธ Release
Release management lets you know the content of a release by linking it to backlog items. Releases can be published and then archived.
๐๏ธ Sprint
A sprint is a defined, regular iteration of work that enables a development team to produce an increment of potentially deliverable functionality. It is a fixed period of time, usually two to four weeks, during which the team focuses on achieving a specific goal.
๐๏ธ Kanban
Kanban is used to manage and visualize the workflow of sprint backlog items. It tracks the progress of tasks throughout the sprint, providing transparency and clarity on the status of work. This optimizes collaboration and promotes rapid problem identification, enabling the development team to adapt and optimize its workflow to meet sprint objectives.
๐๏ธ Estimates
The estimates screen lists backlog items to be estimated.
๐๏ธ Jira project import
As "Organization Manager", you can import an Atlassian Jira project as a product.
